Baked Acorn Squash


Cut squash in half, scrape out seeds. Put brown sugar, butter and salt in the hollow where the seeds were. Place in a covered baking dish. Pour 1/4″ water in bottom of dish. Cover and bake at 400°F for 1 hour. Remove the cover during the last half hour of baking.


  • 1 acorn squash
  • 2 tsp brown sugar (or honey)
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
