Fresh Steamed Artichokes


Trim stalks at base, cut off tops of artichokes. Place artichokes, garlic and bay leaf in vegetable steamer, cover. Steam 35 minutes or until tender. Artichokes are ready when outer leaves can be easily removed. Drain and serve with melted butter and lemon juice.


  • 4 artichokes, fresh, washed
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
