Grate cheese into a medium size bowl. Add garlic. Stir in mayonnaise, mixing well until creamy. Stir in chives and sprinkle with salt. Blend well. Refrigerate. Serve at room temperature with thin slices of black bread or French bread.

- 3 large cloves garlic, minced

- 1Tbsp fresh chives
- Dash of salt
