Salsa Verde


Place tomatoes and jalapenos in a pot; cover with water. Bring to a boil; cook about 15 minutes or until they turn light green. Drain well, and place in a blender with the onion, lime juice, salt, pepper, and cilantro. Puree to desired consistency and chill. Great for dipping, or spicing up your favorite dish.


  • 3 Green tomatoes
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 large red tomato
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c lime juice
  • 1/2 c fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
