Egg, Bacon and Leek Pie


Preheat oven to 400°F. Line pie dish with pastry crust. Place a layer of leeks on the crust, then add a layer of bacon. Break the eggs on top. Season to taste with salt and pepper and add pinch of nutmeg. Cover with a thin layer of pastry. Bake for approximately 40 minutes. Serves 4.


  • 6 oz pie crust
  • 4 oz leeks, washed & very thinly sliced
  • 6 oz bacon, diced
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch nutmeg, freshly grated
